Catalyst PC, Star Wars Empire At War (2006) PC RePack by R.G. Just be aware that in Fall of the Republic, if you lose a hero they're dead forever (unless if they're General Grievous or Admiral Trench then they come back for seconds.

  • The CIS can train four anti-Jedi heroes and one anti-Jedi unit to combat the above problem. Star Wars Empire At War (2006) PC RePack by R.G. Couldn't agree more, this and basic Republic at War are my go to mods for Clone Wars content.
  • The Republic uses mainly Jedi heroes, who have a high attack bonus against enemy units.
  • Both factions are able to use native races of planets under their jurisdiction in battle.
  • The CIS, on the other hand, is able to produce droid units very quickly but for a much higher cost than other units.
  • This is the same effect that the planet Kamino had on organic infantry in Star Wars: Empire at War.
  • The Republic is able to produce any Clone units for only one credit but their training takes longer than other units.
  • But if that's not feasible please give some criteria of what you're looking for and we can probably give you a better answer. Really the ideal answer is to try all three for yourself and see which you prefer. In the end, there's no consensus which is the "Best mod" like there is with other Sci-fi mods. The scale and scope seems to be closer to the base game than SoGE, but it will still take a little more getting used to than Interregnum. It currently replaces the three standard Forces of Corruption factions with the Old Republic, the Sith Empire and the Mandalorian clans. It draws from a variety of free-release sources to bring us a nicely blended mod.

The UI overhaul is indeed ambitious but personally I think its more trouble than its worth. KotOR Mod (0.9) Evil33 brings us a well compiled Knights of the Old Republic era mod aptly named KotOR Mod. I'm not as familiar with Ascendancy, but if you like their Empire at War mod Thrawn's Revenge presumably you'd like it a lot.

All ships are also smaller than most other mods, so you end up conducting most so zoomed out you're not really in the action. However the individual units are not fleshed out enough for my tastes, with only a handful of special abilities shared between most capitalships.

Sins of a Galactic Empire is great if you want the Clone Wars era or really large battles. *Enhanced economics, diplomacy, and lots of gameplay customization via the included Enhanced 4X Mod *Star Wars themed random encounters to discover (planets from the Star Wars galaxy, lost fleets, abandoned Imperial bases etc.) In addition to having the option of playing with the original Sins races as well as the Galactic Empire, Imperial Warlords, and Rebel Alliance, there's a bunch of unique features to it as well. I think Interregnum is the best of the three if you already like Sins of a Solar Empire and want some Star Wars in it. All three have gotten many awards for Moddb's Mod of the Year contest several years in a row. However Sins of a Galactic Empire, Interregnum and Star Wars: Ascendancy are the three you want to try. Some of the devs of the mods I mentioned frequent this sub, so they may add to the thread too.Īs the creator of Star Wars Interregnum, I am certainly biased. There is also Star Wars-Clone Wars mod with covers the clone wars as well but is stylized on the animated show for heroes and units. That one covers the clone wars stylized off the pre-quels. The game pacing, gravity well size, and ranges are all massively changed from what you would be used to on sins, I found the change too stark but it is still a good mod with many players so I had to mention it. You can also check out Republic at War although it is a difficult mod. Sins of a Galactic Empire is fun and has a lot of content, featuring clone war factions as well as the empire or rebels, though you cannot use vanilla sins factions. This mod plays the closest to vanilla sins pacing wise imo, and is my favorite at the moment. Interregnum features optional minimods that can be added independently, such as disable superweapons, double research, double fleet supply, phasegate buildable for all factions, etc. Same creator as the popular E4X mod and can be combined with said mod.

Interregnum is great too, and features the vanilla sins factions in addition to rebels, empire, or imperial warlords, as well as mandalorians as the pirates. This mod is essentially the sequel to their mod for Empire At War called Thrawn's Revenge: Imperial Civil War, and as such features many of the same ships and in house models from that mod. As well as keeping to old Thrawn canon, it takes place roughly 5 through 20 years after the death of the emperor. They've really outdone themselves graphically though, redoing nearly every texture, model, particle. Objectively I'd say Ascendancy once they release v1.1 sometime within the next year, at the moment it is a bit barebones.
